Often both new and experienced divers find themselves wondering when exactly they should equalize to minimize the risk of damage to the ear. If you are like most divers, you descend much faster which means you should be equalizing almost constantly. The good news is, as you go deeper you'll have to equalize less often due to Boyle's law. Regardless of when you last equalized, be sure to equalize when you reach your maximum depth.
